Our Story
A back-room bench that became a Tyler institution
The Watchmaker began as a small wholesale service operation working out of a back room, quietly handling repairs for jewelry stores between Dallas and Shreveport. Owner Toby Troquille, a Swiss-trained watchmaker, opened the doors as a brick-and-mortar shop in 1998.
More than 25 years later the shop employs five to seven people and works with production and manufacturing partners around the world. Toby still handles management, sales, design, repair and hospitality himself.
We've served princes, presidents, musicians and high-profile collectors, and service has been the priority since day one, no matter whose watch is on the bench.
